Recent Aquisition Highlight - R.S. Hoyt & Co.
Right In The Middle
For many years, we had seen R.S. Hoyt Press Oils in the Southern California reigon, and had began to procure it regularly for a few customers. When Mike, the founder of R.S. Hoyt, approached us to see if we were interested in an aquisition, the answer was simple. Yes.
Some of our aquisitions have been large and complicated, others small and simle. This fell right in the middle. Together we ended up working out a deal structure that entailed an initial purchase of the assets of the business plus a royalty on future sales for a period of time. The structure worked perfect for Mike, who was looking to retire, but still receive consistent disbursments (& save on capital gains)!
